The Outer Ring

The Shimmering Lands

The Howling Isle

Going inside the Inner Ring, the PCs will see a belt of dark blue water with a number of islands. They can land wherever they want, but if they use their ship to scan the ring, they will pick up a frequency from one of the larger islands. It is a distress signal urging anyone to help assist a crashed science vessel. This is now the settlement of Icuras' Landing.

Week One
1/1 Icuras' Landing - A small settlement built around a crashed exploration starship. The ship has been partially pulled apart for components and resources. Since the crash, many smaller vessels have landed here and become permanent fictures. The town sits on a large plateau.
2/1 Fertile Valley - A terraced assortment of many diverse crops and otger food bearing plants. A river flows down the valley, irrigating the farms. Burrowing pests wreak havoc in the farms, whom are hunted by four-winged birds called Yanorns
3/1 Sapphire Forest - A dense, splendid forest of blue trees. The leaves are cyn needles which fall from the trees at the slightest breeze.
4/1 Three Peaks - The highest point on the island is home to yhe four-winged birds and many mountain dwelling creatures. The birds like metallic things, especially ones that are powered, and take them to their nests in the mountains.
5/1 The Black Door - The cliff is pock marked with sea caves big and small. The biggest cave has a massive horizontal door-like structure made from a dark metal. A team of adventurers are attempting to breach the door.
6/1 Boulder Coast - A tan sand coast surrounded by large white boulders. A small coastal village on stilts is perched on the sand. There is a secret way through boulders to reach the coast. The villagers are offshoots from Icuras' Landing who have abandoned technology.
7/1 Twisted Spire - A black tower twisting around itself as it appears to have burst from the ground. Anyone who approaches the spire activates 1d6 robotic roller drones. The drones slam into their fir dealing 4 dmg. The spire is responsible for EMP bursts which wipes out all complex electronics and grounds starships.

map

Approaching the Star

As the PCs approach the Star they are met with 1d4 Interceptor Autoships. These drones are like antibodies hunting down a virus. They are fast and powerful, but unarmoured.

INTERCEPTOR AUTOSHIP
A blade-like semi-circle with a rotating cylinder jutting from it's aft
Size Ultralight (4)
Augmentations Warp generator (1 in 6 chance to avoid attacks)
Modules Antimatter cannon (4 dmg, +1 dmg to Armour)

reminder: I am using the STAR DURF system

Attempting to fly closer to the star or the middle ring will activate 1d6 Interceptor Autoships and 1d4 Assault Autoships, which are bigger and mote heavily armoured. Each round a new autoship joins thr fight until the PCs' ship is disabled or retreats away from the middle ring. Attempting to fly even closer, towards the inner ring, will activate 2d6 mounted antimatter cannons dealing 6 dmg, +2 dmg to Armour, each.

ASSAULT AUTOSHIP
Two blade-like semi-circles forming an X with a rotating cylinder jutting from it's aft
Size Light (6)
Augmentations Countermeasures, Jump jammer
Modules Antimatter cannon (4 dmg, +1 dmg to Armour), Armour plating (6 Armour)

If the PCs' starship is disabled, the autoships will attach to it and take it to an area near Icuras' Landing.
